After some time away – about 17 years, we decided the name Chadwicks still has a certain ring to it, so we decide to use it again. Not that we’re biased!
We aim to feed you using the best ingredients we can source locally – and if that’s not there, then we’ll make it (in fact we’d prefer to make it) freshly baked bread and fancies every day, local eggs from our man Phil twiz over the river and Godfrey will be dry curing bacon for us up in Shildon, the home of meat & and trains. Poultry, meat and game from farm & butcher, fish from Alan Hodgson.
Coffee, freshly roasted each week and supplied by our coffee partners Railtown coffee, especially ground to order and expertly brewed.
We’ll be trying new guest beans as we go along, experimenting with blend, bean and brew and showcasing a monthly single origin bean.
Loose leaf teas and a trolley full of great gin. Some local beers and an interesting swatch of wines by the glass, le pot, or bottle.
